The Interoperability Add-on allows ArcMap users to add Web Map Server (WMS) and Web Feature Server (WFS) map services to their maps.
This document details the system requirements for the Interoperability Add-on and the describes the installation steps.
Installing the Interoperability Add-on
Uninstalling the Interoperability Add-on
The following requirements must be met before installing the Interoperability Add-on:
Microsoft Windows Server 2003 (all editions), Windows XP with Service Pack 1, or Windows 2000 with Service Pack 3 or higher.
ArcGIS 8.3.
To install the Interoperability Add-on:
Download the Interoperability Add-on zip file and unzip it.
Run Setup.exe.
At the Welcome screen, click Next.
At the License Agreement screen, choose I accept and click Next.
At the Start Installation screen, click Next to begin the Interoperability Add-on installation.
Note: At this point, the installation program will install the Microsoft XML parsing library (msxml4.dll) if it is not found on the system.
Click Finished at the success screen to exit the installation program.

To uninstall the Interoperability Add-on:
Choose Start > Settings > Control Panel and double-click Add/Remove Programs on Windows 2000; or choose Start > Control Panel and double-click Add or Remove Programs on Windows XP.
Click ArcGIS OGC Interoperability Add-on and click Remove.
Close the windows after the Interoperability Add-on is uninstalled.
