Description: The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development, Data Collection and Management Systems Section operates a statewide program of continuous data collection and analysis. The program operates on a two-year cycle that covers the entire system of state-maintained roads (state, US, and Interstate highways), as well as, selected local roads that are included in the Highway Performance Monitoring System (HPMS). Data are collected every four (4) mili-miles (approximately 21 feet). Raw data are analyzed and reported in tenth (0.1) mile segments, as depicted in this map.
